The WaterStop is designed to remotely control the water supply at the site. The device combines a shut-off valve and an electric actuator. WaterStop can be controlled from anywhere in the world where there is internet - Ajax applications allow you to check the status and change the position of the valve at any time. When alarmed by LeaksProtect or a third-party leak sensor, WaterStop will automatically shut off the water in 5 seconds. All system users will be notified of the alarm and triggered scenario. In addition to the leak sensor alarm scenario, the installation engineer can set the water shutoff on a schedule or when the guard mode is changed.
The WaterStop electric actuator has a maximum torque of 10 N-m. This power allows you to close a jammed shut-off valve without breaking it. And under normal conditions, it will shut off the water in 5 seconds after the command is given. The water supply can be controlled not only through applications and scripts, but also manually. There is a button on the body of WaterStop and a special lever on the mounting platform of the stopcock. This is convenient, for example, when replacing the actuator or while the plumber is working. The status of the valve can be seen in the Ajax applications, by the color of the Ajax logo on the WaterStop body or by the position of the lever.
Standard shutoff valve type
The device comes complete with a Bonomi shut-off valve. It is suitable for both hot and cold water. WaterStop is compatible with shut-off valves made according to ISO 5211. Therefore, the plumber can easily install a standardized shut-off valve and add the device to the system after the installation engineer. When moving, WaterStop can easily be removed and installed on another compatible faucet at the new location. The actuator is removed from the shut-off valve in seconds - no tools required.
Automation Scenarios: Scenarios allow you to reduce the number of routine actions and automatically shut off the water.
Scenarios can be used to control the water supply:
On alarm - when the LeaksProtect sensor alarms.
On schedule - when you want to shut off the water at a certain time.
On guard change - when the object is armed or disarmed.
When the LightSwitch is pressed - for example, when the last employee of the office leaves the room.
By pressing Button - to manually turn off the water in case of an accident.
By Temperature - to shut off the water in the heating pipes for the winter.
Jeweller communication technology
Jeweller is a radio protocol for fast and reliable two-way communication between the hub and the connected devices. The protocol provides a wireless communication range of up to 1,100 meters, which allows you to use a smart faucet not only in a large house, but also in basements, office or storage rooms. Jeweller transmits all necessary information. Thanks to it, users always have access to the control of a smart crane in Ajax applications, regardless of the number of devices in the system. And they can also check the status of the crane at any time - whether it is open or closed.
Protection against sabotage
WaterStop can be installed in offices, restaurants, cafes and other public places. To protect against unauthorized removal there is an alternative mounting bracket. This bracket is installed in place of the standard one to prevent removal of the drive. Unlike the standard bracket it cannot be removed without tools. When the actuator is removed from the shut-off valve, the tamper switch is triggered. The hub regularly (with a set frequency) checks the status of connected devices and informs about loss of communication with any of them. Notification of loss of communication is received by all users and the remote control of the security company.
Intelligent design
The WaterStop is a wireless device that runs on pre-installed batteries. If necessary, the installation engineer can connect a third-party 9V, 2A power supply. The actuator attaches to the shutoff valve in one of four positions. The body of the actuator does not need to be disassembled for installation and is fixed to the valve with a mounting clip without tools. This eliminates the risk of damaging the electronics.

The WaterStop is installed by two professionals: a plumber and an installation engineer. That's why we made sure that they are both comfortable working with the product. The plumber can install a standard compatible shut-off valve without the installation engineer. He only needs to know the dimensions of the electric valve. The installation engineer can come another day, install the actuator and integrate it into the Ajax safety system. The device connects to the Ajax security system in less than a minute. It is enough to open the Ajax application, scan the QR code, add the device to the room and the group.
